Royalty Update: EL Éditions Publishing Catalogue - Payout #4

The EL Éditions Publishing Catalogue (ID008) received €25,466.40 from SACEM (the French National Collective Organization) as royalty payout for the reference period of January 2022 – March 2022 (Q1 2022), as well as €7,850.12 from Universal Music Publishing (sub-publishing royalties) for the period of July 2021 – December 2021 (H2 2021).
The revenues distributed by SACEM experienced a moderate growth compared to the payout experienced in the first quarter of 2021, likely because of the progressive lifting of COVID-19 measures over time in France. The revenues distributed by Universal Music Publishing, instead, are in line with the previous year performance (H2 2020).
As the French government lifted most of its COVID-19 restrictions on March 14, 2022, the catalogue might experience positive effects on its next royalty flows. Promising signals come from the streaming performance of the songs included in EL Éditions Publishing Catalogue which, as of April 2022, have been able to generate more than 283 million streams on Spotify alone, according to ANote Music internal analysis.
The auction for EL Éditions Publishing Catalogue was completed on June 15th, 2021. As a result, ANote Music investors are entitled to receive €1,665.72, corresponding to 5% of the catalogue listed on the platform.
